2. Adjust the Brightness to be Less Bright
Since we’ve already determined that the backlight is usually the biggest problem, you should probably adjust the settings. Head into Settings –> Display –> Brightness, where you can choose to automatically adjust, which usually works well, or you can just turn the brightness down to the lowest acceptable level.
How to adjust Brightness?

3. Use dark themes and settings
Using darker app backgrounds/themes and darker launcher themes will further prolong your battery life (but only if your device has an AMOLED screen). The first version of the Android M developer preview had a stock dark theme (which was later removed). This could mean big things for system-wide stock theme support if it returns in the last Android M release.
4. Disable Your Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi can really speed up accessing data on your phone. But it can also be a big drain on the battery if you don’t need it, especially when you are out and about… The phone will try to scan for a wireless network even though you may not want it to. Turn off Wi-Fi when you don’t need it. To turn On/Off Wi-Fi go to Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi.
5. Keep an eye on signal strength
If you’re in an area with poor cellular coverage, the phone will work harder to latch onto a strong-enough signal. This has an adverse effect on battery life. There’s not much you can do about this one, but keep in mind that this could be the culprit behind a seemingly weak battery. It’s worth popping the phone into Airplane mode if you don’t need data or voice calls.
6. Disable Bluetooth
If you aren’t using a wireless headset, there’s no reason to have Bluetooth running all the time, and you should probably cut it off to save the battery life. If you never use it at all, head into Settings –> Connections (/Wireless & networks)–> Bluetooth to turn Off/On Bluetooth.
7. Use Battery saver / Cache cleaner Apps
There are many android apps like Battery booster available to Extend android battery life. Those apps kill running apps that are running in the background. So that it may save some battery. But sometimes those apps may consume your battery. Be cautious about choosing battery boosted apps.
